Joe Rohatynski (Ro-tin-ski) is a 20-year veteran in the practice of public relations consulting with significant experience in automotive media relations, event planning and strategic communications counsel.

Rohatynski’s work representing dozens of clients has earned him a solid reputation among journalists and media organizations around Michigan, the U.S. and Europe for being a valuable and honest resource with a keen sense for what news is – and what news isn’t.

An IABC and PRSA award winner, Rohatynski is experienced in all facets of public relations. During his career Rohatynski has held executive positions with top PR/Ad agencies in Detroit and Lansing, and has been an independent PR consultant since July 2001.

Rohatynski previously directed the PR for Detroit’s North American International Auto Show, and was responsible for press room staffing and management, press kit distribution, client counsel and year-round media relations. His experience with the Detroit show led to PR work with the Detroit Auto Dealers Association (reporting to Rod Alberts, executive director), and ongoing consulting with Anaheim’s California International Auto Show, the San Diego International Auto Show, Toronto’s Canadian International Auto Show, Auto Shows of North America, and the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles – a Paris-based association representing more than 25 of the top international auto shows around the world.

Rohatynski also manages PR for actor Jeff Daniels and the Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea, Mich. Other clients include: Aisin World Corp. of America, Plymouth; Automotive Hall of Fame, Dearborn; “Hot August Nights” classic car festival, Reno, Nevada; Operating Engineers Training Center, Howell; and continuing work with the Detroit Auto Dealers Association.

A graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit, Rohatynski is a member of the Automotive Press Association, and is a founding member of the Individual Communicators' Network. He resides in Howell, Michigan, with his wife and three sons.
